I am nearing completion of a no-expense spared, extensive renovation project of my beautiful Quinta (large country farm house) Rosana which is situated in one of the most beautiful unspoiled areas of Portugal. 

Nestled in the Western Algarve and situated in the rigidly protected national park it is a place where the sun shines for over 300 days per year and yet it hardly ever gets too hot due to the proximity of the forest and the cooling Atlantic sea breeze.

• Smoking is not allowed inside the premises and only in allocated safe areas as this is a protected region of the countryside.
• We hope to have tree-houses and wooden cabins finished soon.
• With mountain bicycles available for all to explore our extensive parkland and beyond to the most unspoiled beaches (mostly naturist) only two kilometres away you should not be able to have any excuse for keeping fit.
• Visit the nearby cliffs and watch the paragliders float past - you can even take a tandem ride on a two seater.
• If that sounds too adventurous how about land yachting in one of the steadiest and smoothest wind regions of Europe. 
• If you visit Lagos you can interact with wild natural dolphins out at sea by boat or air with our local dolphion research centre using the latest amphibious microlight two seater seaplane.
• How about a trip in a variety of beautiful boats from Lagos Marina?
• Alternatively you can simply put your feet up and relax maybe star-gazing using a telescope from our huge roof terrace. There is so little light pollution that the view is simply spectacular.
• The roof terrace also has accommodation for those who fancy sleeping under the starry night sky.
• Oh and I forgot to mention there is a world class golf course virtually on our doorstep and several others with a few minutes drive!

For those of you who just like lazing around the pool and maybe doing a little reading or research we have the largest collection of historic books about Portugal & the Algarve possibly outside of a museum.  This collection is freely available to all our guests on the condition that they never leave the premises. The books were collected by my parents, Edward and Pamela Dodds over a 20 year period and include some extremely rare copies.  Ideal for those who would like a head start in the research of this country.
